About the tour

Join Daniel as he guides you around the centre of Bath to give you a wonderful introduction to this beautiful UNESCO World Heritage City. Discover how the city started and how it transformed into a popular location for Kings, Queens and the creme de la creme of British society. You will see and hear the stories behind Bath's famous landmarks: the Pump Rooms, the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey, Pulteney Bridge as well as one of Bath's most famous residents: Jane Austen.

Meet your local guide

Having enjoyed many adventures travelling around the world, from the jungles of the Amazon to the Himalayas of Nepal, today Daniel can be found much closer to home where he enjoys showing visitors around the beautiful city of Bath and the local area. Born and raised in Bath Daniel likes to bring the city's historic buildings to life with fascinating stories about their past and the city's famous residents. He claims not to have a West Country accent but apparently a couple pints of cider can soon change that! Daniel is the founder and owner of the award-winning Bath Insider Tours which provides private tours in Bath and the West Country.

Daniel has been guiding since May 2018

What to expect

Get ready for something special. We're travelling to Bath with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you'll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing guide.

The tour will last about 45 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Bath. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.

Why are they tip-supported?

We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to book and join, but you have the option to tip the guide during the tour.

Leaving a tip will help support the guides and allow us to offer tours in more places around the world. If you aren't able to leave a tip, then it would be great if you can share the tour with friends and family to spread the word.

Great tour! I've been to Bath twice, but it's been a few years since my last visit, and this was a great refresher. Daniel did a wonderful job. I'm a travel consultant of 40+ years and found Daniel to be a natural as tour guide. Would love to be on a 'real' tour with him. Hopefully, when all the Covid travel restrictions are released, I'll make my eighth trip to the UK, but until then I'll be taking the virtual tours. Thanks for a lovely hour! Carole
