During this live tour of the Buda Castle, Adam will walk you through the key sites of the Buda Castle hill neighbourhood. We'll start at the Fisherman's bastion taking in the views of Pest. After that we will talk a walk by the iconic Matthias church and the statue to the Holy Trinity before heading down the medieval streets of the castle's residential area to reach the Alexander Palace which currently serves as the Presidential Palace. During the walk we'll cover various topics about Hungary such as the the country's history, the Hungarian gastronomy, and so much more!
Adam finished his studies in April 2011, and has been working as a qualified guide ever since. If you are interested not just in the facts and figures but also the way locals live their life, Adam is your man! He was born and raised in Budapest and has been an eyewitness to a sleeping beauty's transformation to a multi-cultural metropolis. He can be your inside man to understand the Hungarians better, and to experience what life is like as a local.
Adam has been guiding since Apr 2011
Get ready for something special. We're travelling to Budapest with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you'll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing guide.
The tour will last about 45 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Budapest. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!
While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.
We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to book and join, but you have the option to tip the guide during the tour.
Leaving a tip will help support the guides and allow us to offer tours in more places around the world. If you aren't able to leave a tip, then it would be great if you can share the tour with friends and family to spread the word.
Reserve your spot by selecting a time to book. Once done, you’ll be able to see your reservations on your Trips page and we’ll send you an email confirmation with a link to join the tour.
