La Boca, Tango and Colours

La Boca, Buenos Aires, Argentina
45 mins

About the tour

Located in the southern part of Buenos Aires, the barrio (neighbourhood) of La Boca comes alive with colour, music and tango beats. Join our guide Fabian as he takes us on a tour of this kaleidoscopic neighbourhood, and learn how immigrants coming from Italy helped give the area a European flavour. On this tour we’ll visit one of the most photographed places in the world: Caminito (little street), which got its name from the famous tango, composed by Juan de Dios Filiberto in 1926. If we’re lucky, we may even see some dancers in the streets!

Considering Fabian had a broken finger, I think he did well . A little less time on the empty cages/displays would have been nice. It, as I was thinking, the area we had visited in 2018. Seeing the Tango dancers was very nice. The restaurants open in one area was a surprise. Thank you, Fabian, for the memories.

Really enjoyed this tour, so interesting. Loved seeing the 2 couples , each one dancing a different tango and the man playing the accordion. Nice to see some art too. It gave you an idea of the atmosphere in that area of Buenos Aries. Well done Fabian.
