About the tour

Visit the square where everything began. The Plaza de Mayo is the oldest public square in Buenos Aires, and the scene of many of the most important events in the city’s history. Fabian will take you on a journey around the square, surrounded by beautiful buildings such as the Presidential Palace (the Casa Rosada - or Pink House) and the impressive Metropolitan Cathedral. Feel the vibes of the "porteños" as the locals are called; there may even be a demonstration to witness too! On this tour you’ll learn about the oldest underground transport system in Latin America, understand why the cathedral is now known as “the Pope’s Church”, and see the famous balcony where Eva Peron (Evita) gave her famous speech in 1952.

Buenos Aires, Playo de Mayo, with Fabian. Another great tour by Vitual Tours. I don't know how they do it, but they always find tip-top guides. Fabian showed us the beautiful road leading up to the Square, with its lovely architecture and he also showed us places on the way, like the chic bar full of artworks. Excellent.
