About the tour

Help support children's mental health this Christmas as you enjoy a wonderful tour of the luminous city of Moscow and feel the magic of a Russian winter just as it turns into a snowy wonderland. Christmas and New Year is one of the best times to visit Moscow. The holiday season is also a great time to be giving back to the people who need it the most! On this tour, all tips will be donated to children’s mental health charity in the UK. On this tour, you'll get to experience the cultural and architectural background of gems such as the magnificent St Basil's Cathedral, GUM Department Store, onion-domed Orthodox Kazan Cathedral, and Lenin's mausoleum, all lit up with magical Christmas lights. You’ll discover all about the Christmas and New year celebrations in Russia too! Make sure you have a hot holiday drink with you - Moscow gets cold this time of year!

Meet your local guide

Anna

Anna is incredibly passionate about her job as a Moscow guide: every time she sees her guests catching their breath in a beautiful cathedral or smiling with a joy in the Red Square, she feels she's doing something right! As a true local, she knows that Moscow is an ever-changing metropolis and strives to communicate the diversity and contrasting characteristics of her native city - modern and ancient Moscow - at the same time. Anna loves showing Moscow from the perspective of a local - the striking and important history, beautiful architecture and modern lifestyle with hustle and bustle rhythm, authentic gastro-clusters and beautifully hidden lanes. We hope you can join Anna for an unforgettable tour of this wonderful city!

Anna has been guiding since Jan 2016

What to expect

Get ready for something special. We're travelling to Moscow with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you'll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and amazing guide.

The tour will last about 30 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Moscow. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.

Why are they tip-supported?

We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to book and join, but you have the option to tip the guide during the tour.

Leaving a tip will help support the guides and allow us to offer tours in more places around the world. If you aren't able to leave a tip, then it would be great if you can share the tour with friends and family to spread the word.

Anna was so enchanting. Her love and knowledge of the city was remarkable and her enthusiasm and bubbly personality made you wish it was for 2 hours instead of 40 min.

It is too bad the other people keep sending messages and asking questions when the tour guide is explaining something. The tour guide should try to answer questions after rather than stopping half way through a sentence. It is impossible to say hi to everyone so not so many hi's would be better .
