Celebrate spring and take a look in Amsterdam's largest park (Amsterdamse Bos) for the annual flowering of the Japanese cherry trees. It is a magnificent sight to see the 400 Cherry trees donated by the Japan Women's Club in full bloom. This is a place that is important to the large Japanese community in Amsterdam, but more and more Amsterdammers are also coming to see the flowers. But there is much more to see in the Amsterdamse Bos. We take a short trip through the Amsterdamse Bos, see the famous rowing course and enjoy spring with fresh green leaves, beautiful flowers (tulips) and blooming cherry and other trees.
Stephan is a real Dutchie, he was born in Delft (the city of Vermeer), grown up in Gouda (the cheese city), studied in Leiden (city of Rembrandt) and he lived in Rotterdam (the harbour city) before moving to our capital Amsterdam in 2006. After a career in technology as an Online Strategist, he decided to leave behind the corporate world to start guiding visitors of Amsterdam and started his own private tour agency, Amsterdam Experiences. He found out that walking and cycling around the city with international visitors is a lot more fun than a desk job! As a host, Stephan loves to show his virtual guests, the hidden gems in Amsterdam through the eyes of a local. He has a passion for telling stories about Dutch history and culture. So join him on the bike or by foot, and see the highlights of Amsterdam.

Get ready for something special. We're travelling to Amsterdam with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you'll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and amazing guide.
The tour will last about 30 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Amsterdam. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!
While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.
We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to book and join, but you have the option to tip the guide during the tour.
Leaving a tip will help support the guides and allow us to offer tours in more places around the world. If you aren't able to leave a tip, then it would be great if you can share the tour with friends and family to spread the word.
Reserve your spot by selecting a time to book. Once done, you’ll be able to see your reservations on your Trips page and we’ll send you an email confirmation with a link to join the tour.
