Ho-ho-ho! Merry Christmas from Saint Petersburg! Join Anna for her festive tour around the Palace Square, the hub of political and cultural life of the city even more beautiful at this time of year. You'll see the enormous illuminated Christmas tree, the Winter Palace which was once the the royal residence of the Romanovs and now the Hermitage museum, and the surrounding streets filled with lights and Christmas cheer. We’ll talk about why the New Year celebration is a lot more important for Russians than Christmas. Anna will explain why Russians celebrate Christmas after the New Year, on January, 7, and tell you about how the holiday traditions have evolved over the centuries. Anna is a a licensed tour guide in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The curious thing about this city is that it’s very young - a bit more than 300 years old. However, in only three centuries the city’s managed to become one of the most magnificent cities of the world. Anna's goal is to tell the world about the beauty of her city, its history, Russian culture, heritage and how it all has influenced our everyday life. Regardless of your age, interests, origin and political views, St.Pete should be on the bucket list of every globetrotter because it has everything to meet the needs of the most sophisticated travelers.

What to expect

Get ready for something special. We're travelling to Saint Petersburg with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you'll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and amazing guide.

The tour will last about 40 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Saint Petersburg. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.
