About the tour

In the upper part of Porto, outside the old medieval fortication, lays the most iconic tower of the city, highlight of our typical granite Baroque architecture. Come along with me to explore the gems of this neighbourhood: stories of cursed love, funny looking trees, churches that take your breath away, neoclassical masterpieces, old students tradition and a bookstore considered one of the most beautiful in the world! Are you going to miss the chance to discover one of the most eclectic parts of the "bourgeois" Porto?! Travel back with me to the 17th century all the way to the 1920's, and get to know one of the most popular sites of our city.

What to expect

Get ready for something special. We're travelling to Porto with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you'll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing guide.

The tour will last about 45 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Porto. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.

Why are they tip-supported?

We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to book and join, but you have the option to tip the guide during the tour.

Leaving a tip will help support the guides and allow us to offer tours in more places around the world. If you aren't able to leave a tip, then it would be great if you can share the tour with friends and family to spread the word.

Sara has a wonderful way of making you feel like you are right in Porto with her by the way she tells her stories and uses her video camera. We’re looking forward to going to Porto for real and having Sara take us around.

What a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon during lockdown. Sara’s tour was very interesting and full of fun facts. I so enjoyed it from the comfort of my couch with my cat purring on my lap
