Today we are cooking one of the most traditional Spanish dishes, TORTILLA DE PATATA (Potatoe Omelette).
Be ready to learn how to cook this Spanish delight, get yourself a glass of wine, and let´s have some fun

 All you need are:
- 6 Eggs
- 1 pd. Potatoes (1/2 a kg.)
- 1 Large Onion
- Olive Oil (extra virgin if possible)
- Salt

Sorry, Fran meant well. Maybe email a specific recipe before since people seemed confused. Also, show more of the preparation and cooking, and answer questions mainly during the slower cooking parts or at the end. Looking and answering every random chat was a confusing and annoying experience for those of us who were only interested in the recipe. I understand that engaging with everyone is nice, but limit it during activities. The omelette might have turned out better with a better allocation if time. The twenty minutes of cooking time was doable with a punctual start and well organized spaces for chat questions or wine recommendations. Otherwise, Fran and his wife are interesting people.

Fran is a very good tour guide....full of information and humor also.   I have enjoyed all of his walks.

Thank you Fran and Mrs Fran for inviting us into your home for a great fun evening.  Really enjoyed the visit and we are going to try the omlette at the weekend.  I apologise for the bad manners of some of the people on the tour.  I can't believe they were telling you how you should store food in your fridge plus those who hogged the chat with cooking tips for you and asking numerous times about the measurements of the oil!  So rude.  You and Mrs Fran were very gracious.

Sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy this one! Part of the charm of these cooking tours is preparing things together, which was why the potatoes were not peeled. Not every tour will have a presentation style that you might enjoy, so we hope that you could join us on another tour soon.

Too much chatter, but could not hear or understand it anyway.  left as the lady was starting to fry, but did not need to see her peel potatoes  !!They should have all been prepared.  Sorry

LOVE THIS COUPLE!!!!  I felt on this tour like I was invited into their home. They began the tour on the couch, greeting all of us as we entered.  I can't wait to make this dish AND to see the new Pan that they buy !  BONUS!!!! We got a Tour of their Refrigerator too !!!!

How nice to see a local cooking a homemade meal in their own kitchen! Really enjoyed watching how to cook Spanish omlette and I will give it a go. Even though they weren't happy with the result, that's how we all cook! I can now cook something Russian, French, Peruvian and Spanish - not bad!

Enjoyed the cooking show!  Fran and his wife are a cute couple - friendly and smiling all the time.  How nice to be welcomed into their home to watch them prepare a dish from their country. Video quality was very good.  A few minor nips on the audio where Fran's mic seemed to cut out just momentarily, perhaps when he turned quickly or something?

They had a great command of English and were friendly, yet I believe that they had no idea of how to cook a Spanish tortilla nor did they have  the right pan to make a proper tortilla . Another disadvantage is that they dedicated too much time talking about the history of tortilla and the choice of wine rather than  the actual cooking .  

Thanks Fran and Ainoha for a fantastic cooking tour tonight. A lot of laughs, insights and tips. I’m so sorry the dish didn’t work out exactly as you planned, but it looked fabulous to me!!

Fran and Ainhoa, his wife, are a charming couple. I gleaned so many valuable cooking tips again today. Actually, I am prepping my ingredients now to cook my first Spanish omelet. You and your good lady are fantastic. What a wonderfully uplifting cookery session. When my paella pan arrives tomorrow I shall try out last week's recipe and in a few days, tonight's!

Excellent management of everything at once --- showing techniques, answering questions and entertaining us all at the same time.  I followed along and my tortilla/omelet came out great!   You two are a lot of fun, I suggest adding Mrs. name to your tour as she did most of the labor while he did most of the talking.  And demonstrating the techniques and answering questions as we cook really worked well.   I'll be back for more! Thank you.  

Delightfully entertaining and informative. Always remember the tortilla espanol as a tapas in bars in Spain!  Also course taught me the error of my ways when attempting at home ( I always put eggs into pan with potatoes instead of adding potatoes to eggs! ) Guess I know what is for dinner this week! Loved it Fran and Aihoa. Very kind to let us into your world a bit. I thought that you did a wonderful job. Fran you don't cook or help out? anyway, many have been so criticised and  I think that's because they take advantage of being anonymous.  INterestingly, women are criticized more especially if they have an accent. I find all of it outrageous. I bet most can barely say a thing in  Spanish or other languages unless they learnt it at home ( probably with a lot of errors and not to a high level as we see here in Canada) and usually American English from tv which has many, many errors. someone had a sentence without the subjucntive. "Wish I was ..." instead of "wish (that) I were...) happens a lot as does " there's a lot of us' wrong there are ..."

The cooking class with Fran and his wife was so much fun.  It is lovely to be invited into their home and experience another life style.  The tortilla de patata was very tasty.

 Evening time, so Fran and his lovely wife invited us into their home for a meal, a Spanish omelette.  He has a wicked sense of humour, or was it the rosé? They worked so well with each other so the tour was a delight to watch.  

Absolutely the most entertaining and fun tour ever!  They are superb hosts and I was laughing and enjoying it so much.   Authentic and natural....will be following their tours.   Btw I also learned a lot; the participants were supportive which made the tour even more fun.   LOVE LOVE LOVED them 

Left the tour after the ridiculous onion vs no onion controversy.  Stupid.  Never saw the recipe made

Fran and Ainhoa....you were great! Although I made them myself a couple of times, you gave me new things to try to make it even better. Sorry guys, you are lovely people but that Tortilla was a mess. The sort of thing I would do  when I hoped you would guide me how to avoid the pitfalls.
  I think the pan was the problem. Better luck next time with the “ Burnt cheesecake” which looked yummy.

What a charming couple. I absolutely loved the presentation but was very distracted by the critical comments for self-appointed experts.   

I love joining Fran and Ainhoa. Unfortunately today we had a lot of the travelers on who must comment on every single thing they see or want a picture of random stuff that has nothing to do with why we are there, and they derailed things. I feel like we didn't see much of the cooking today and that is unfortunate.

This cooking class was truly a fun experience - Francisco and his wife are delightful! The Spanish Potato Omelette looked delicious and I'm only sorry that I missed their previous class when the made Paella! It was a pleasure to attend this virtual "tour". Gracias!
