About the tour

Today, we will learn how to recycle the biscotti we didn’t eat during the Christmas festivities, and together with Nonna Maria we will create two of the most popular Italian desserts: Tiramisu and Chocolate Salami. We can promise you once you’ve made your first Tiramisu and Chocolate Salami with Nonna Maria’s recipe you’ll never be happy with restaurant desserts! Let’s join the fun in Nonna’s kitchen once again! Tiramisu 2 whole eggs ( fresh) 250 g (1 cup) of Mascarpone cheese 250 ml (1 cup) of espresso coffee or strong coffee 3 teaspoon of cocoa powder. 20 lady fingers biscuits( Savoiardi style). 5 teaspoons of sugar. Chocolate salami 200g (1 cup) of cocoa powder 175 g (0.74 cups or 20 biscuits) of dry biscuits 150 g (3/4 cup) of melted butter 150g (3/4 cup) of sugar 2 fresh eggs 10 g (1 shot glass) of Rhum Icing sugar baking powder

Sara is a roman native, traveller, dreamer, addicted to painting and fascinated by all expressions of art. She is a licensed tour guide of Rome and the Vatican, speaks fluent English, French and Spanish and at school also learnt some German! Not only does Sara love languages but foreign cultures and traditions too. She graduated with a degree in foreign languages at the "Roma Tre" University and after finishing she started to travel to many countries to improve her knowledge, accent and professional skills. She loves her career as a guide and finds it incredibly interesting. She has worked for several cruise tour operators such as royal Caribbean, Carnival, Celebrity cruises, Princess Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Lines and Riviera. In 2011 she embarked on a new and exciting experience guiding students in cooperation with Palazzi-Florence association for International Education and EF students. Sara knows her city like the back of her hand and can't wait to show you around!

What to expect

Get ready for something special. We're travelling to Rome with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you'll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and amazing guide.

The tour will last about 45 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Rome. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.


Why are they tip-supported?

We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to book and join, but you have the option to tip the guide during the tour.
