Valentine's Day Special - A Date in Lovely Budapest

House of Parliament, Budapest, Hungary

About the tour

One of the nicknames of the Hungarian capital city is the "City of love", aka Paris of Central-Europe. This one-off tour aims to uncover the stories connected to "love", marriages, relationships, dating and everything that comes with it. The tour takes place on the Pest side of Budapest. While Adam treats your ears with stories connected to relationships, he'll treat your eyes as well with breathtaking examples of Beaux-Arts architecture of Leopoldtown. We will walk by some iconic sites as well, like the House of Parliament building, St. Stephen's Basilica, and this time, as an extra bonus special feature, we will walk a section of the UNESCO listed Andrassy avenue as well.

Meet your local guide

Adam

Adam finished his studies in April 2011, and has been working as a qualified guide ever since. If you are interested not just in the facts and figures but also the way locals live their life, Adam is your man! He was born and raised in Budapest and has been an eyewitness to a sleeping beauty's transformation to a multi-cultural metropolis. He can be your inside man to understand the Hungarians better, and to experience what life is like as a local.

Adam has been guiding since Apr 2011

What to expect

Get ready for something special. We're travelling to Budapest with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you'll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and amazing guide.

The tour will last about 60 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Budapest. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.

Why are they tip-supported?

We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to book and join, but you have the option to tip the guide during the tour.

Leaving a tip will help support the guides and allow us to offer tours in more places around the world. If you aren't able to leave a tip, then it would be great if you can share the tour with friends and family to spread the word.
