About the tour

An old tram depot in Moscow has become the city’s largest foodie haven- we invite you to explore off the beaten Moscow to feel the local vibes and see where modern Moscow public love to hang out. Depo occupies the oldest in Moscow tram complex, built in the 19th century and today it is a site of cultural heritage. The Depo food cluster combines its unique history, more than 200 food corners with cuisines all over the world and a local market. You will see vintage trams and trolleybuses as the decor’s focal point, learn about Russian eating and drinking traditions. This is a combination of market and restaurants with a hipster takeover- we will explore each aisle to appreciate the massive gastronomic variety on offer and an edgy industrial architecture. After touring Depo will stroll the nearby district called White Square and find Moscow constructivism architecture and learn the history of the old believer's church located in between glass office skyscrapers. On this tour you will definitely feel that Moscow is the city of contrasts!

Meet your local guide

Anna

Anna is incredibly passionate about her job as a Moscow guide: every time she sees her guests catching their breath in a beautiful cathedral or smiling with a joy in the Red Square, she feels she's doing something right! As a true local, she knows that Moscow is an ever-changing metropolis and strives to communicate the diversity and contrasting characteristics of her native city - modern and ancient Moscow - at the same time. Anna loves showing Moscow from the perspective of a local - the striking and important history, beautiful architecture and modern lifestyle with hustle and bustle rhythm, authentic gastro-clusters and beautifully hidden lanes. We hope you can join Anna for an unforgettable tour of this wonderful city!

Anna showed us more than just food. She started outside in the cold down the road, walking and narrating the area. Then inside for the main course. FUN! Thank you!!!

As usual Anna's tour was excellent but unfortunately the experience was hampered by technological issues which we think were probably related to software issues at our end although we were aware from the chat that other participants were also having problems, but would definitely join another Anna's tours.
