About the tour

Would you like to visit a place often called “a living monument”? The old town of Split has such a nickname. Back in 305 (AD) a Roman emperor Diocletian left the throne and “retired” here. A breathtaking structure was built, for him and he spent the last chapter of his life in it. We call it Diocletian’s Palace, and it’s one of a kind monument, unique in its beauty and one other thing; life hasn’t stopped thriving here. The Palace became the city, and the city still lives on. All these layers of history left their mark and gave a special flavor to this old part of Split. UNESCO protected it in 1979. and underlined the value of this area. Join your guide and see it for yourself.

Vjeran

This is Vjeran ("faithful" in Croatian) or, easier, V.J. He's in love with his country and would love to present its beauty, history and everything else about it. He was born in 1981 in Split, where he grew up. He still lives in this area and it would be hard for him to call any other place home. He's blessed with a wonderful wife and three children (two boys and a girl), who are his motivation and inspiration. Vjeran has worked as a licensed tourist guide since 2012, but has been involved in tourism since he was 14. After graduating from high school, with an emphasis on tourism, he obtained my undergraduate degree, again, in tourism. He really enjoys spending time with people with whom he can share why he's so passionate about Croatia. Simply said, he loves what he does! Join him in Split!

Vjeran has been guiding since Mar 2012
