Let’s walk together as friends on the most elegant Boulevard of Barcelona to admire the incredible Casa BATLLÓ and Casa MILÀ, also called “La Pedrera" both from Antonio GAUDÍ. We will talk about his organic architecture, the bench-streetlamps of the Ave. Modernism architecture and the bourgeois Barcelona’s society at the turning of the 1900s. This is an Evening Tour when the buildings will be illuminated to enhance their beauty
"I started guiding when I was 17 as a tour director, and I've since traveled the world and lived in many cities to learn the 4 foreign languages that I now guide in. I have always loved to be among people from all parts of the planet, and I am so lucky now to be able to host them virtually in Barcelona," says Josep. Born and raised in Barcelona, Josep, or "Pepus" as everyone calls him, is a licensed guide with more than 25 years of experience showing people around his incredible city. He takes pride in his extensive knowledge of the masterpieces of Antonio Gaudi, the most outstanding architect of our time whose works include the Sagrada Familia, Park Güell, Casa Batlló, and La Pedrera to name a few. He has hosted many distinguished guests, including foreign dignitaries, celebrities, actors, and 1000s of other visitors around his city. "An unforgettable memory was when I was told that I had to guide a personality whose name they could not disclose, and then I had to show Barcelona to the first man that had stepped on the moon. Neil Armstrong! I felt very honored!" he says. On his tours, you might also get to discover some culinary delights. Josep loves cooking up a gastronomical storm and if you're lucky, he might just take you along to a gourmet food tour, especially "Mediterranean cooking that they would not dare to order or try on their own…and then they end up loving it forever!" he laughs. Pepus is your man if you want to get under the skin of Barcelona, and discover the culture and history oozing from every street!

Having seen Gaudi's houses by daylight, it was wonderful to see them lit up at night. Josep reminded me of the history behind them and the various firsts associated with them. And who could have predicted the added drama of all the police vehicles driving up and down the road? It certainly felt like we were right there with Josep.

I have been to Barcelona few years ago and have taken tours in person. Recently I did a few live zoom tours on this particular area and I felt in comparison to my other experiences this tour guide was not as good or as informative on the Gaudi architecture. There was a lot of information that was missing and much information given that was out of context. Not sure if I will watch this particular tour guide again

Great tour, with added excitement of police vehicles and helicopters passing by.

There were so many police vans, ambulances and helicopters it was amazing he kept his focus. But he did a great job with all that going on.
