About the tour

Are you prepared to take in a magnificent view of over 180º of one of the oldest capitals in Europe? Then come and find out why the Moorish castle of Lisbon is now called Castle of St. George, why our 25th of April bridge looks so much like the former Bay Bridge in San Francisco, and why even though Lisbon is by a river, we could never drink its water. Then come explore one of the least explored historical districts of Lisbon, home to some of the early 20th century working class homes built by the owners of nearby factories. A lively part of the city that enjoys its central location, abundance of local businesses and frequent trams to get around.

A fascinating walk through a local neighbourhood with some great history and views. Ines was friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable. She brought the town to life with her descriptions. Thank you for a lovely evening.

I have just taken my second tour with Ines walking through the streets of Lisbon and have already booked a third. My family and I all tuned in as Ines led us on a gentle but very fascinating walk through wonderful cobblestones streets with beautiful renaissance style views and colours of such a gorgeous and historic city. Ines, a is a warm and friendly local guide, engaging us all through with her excellent local and historical knowledge of the city. Her manner and obvious personality we found charming, and she has excellent spoken English. We enjoyed our two tours and were able also to engage with other repeat customers during our "walk". We had a very positive experience watching from far away from Australia! Thank you! Andrew, family and our cat who also watched! lol

The weather did not help, but Ines made up for that with a fantastic tour.

The tour showed day to day life in Graca rather than the glamorous side
