About the tour

Join Andrea on this unique experience where he will take a “vaporetto”, the original water bus of Venice, and travel along the canal that cuts the city in two parts. He will be live-streaming from the water - telling you the stories and history of the beautiful palaces that line this "main street" of the city. This is where the most important noble families of Venice lived. On this tour he will pass under the two oldest bridges over the Grand Canal - Accademia and Rialto - and discover also curious stories such as the cursed Ca’ Dario, the reference to the knight Templars on the façade of Ca’ Vendramin Calergi and even a palace that has the skeleton of a real dinosaur inside! Come enjoy this tour with Andrea, sit back and soak up the beauty of Venice from the water!

Meet your local guide

Andrea

Andrea might be one of Venice's most entertaining tour guides. Why do we say that? Well you don't have to look far to see him jamming out on his guitar singing songs in the Venetian dialect. He likes to think of his tours like a small show so make sure to have your drinks and snacks ready for your time with Andrea! Born and raised in Venice he's as Venetian as you can get and he loves sharing unique stories of his city.

Andrea has been guiding since Dec 2012

What to expect

The tour will last about 30 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Venice. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.

Why are they tip-supported?

We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to book and join, but you have the option to tip the guide during the tour.

Leaving a tip will help support the guides and allow us to offer tours in more places around the world. If you aren't able to leave a tip, then it would be great if you can share the tour with friends and family to spread the word.

I really enjoyed my tour of Venice and felt like I was there, although it was strange how quiet it was but beautiful architecture and lovely weather too.
