About the tour

Have a glance at the exciting and rich culture of the Hungarian Jewish community with Virtualtrips's historical Jewish quarter tour! During this live virtual walking tour your guide will walk you through the heart of the historical Jewish quarter of Pest, which is one of the most interesting parts of Budapest’s city centre. During this roughly 45 minutes long sightseeing tour Adam will introduce you to the main synagogues of this neighbourhood from the outside. Besides that you can also learn about how and why Jewish families moved to Pest, how the community took part in the historical events, what led to the separation of the different congregations and what is the difference between neolog and orthodox. While we walk from one synagogue to the other you'll also hear a few stories about those who've been awarded with Righteous Among the Nations title.
