It's the most wonderful time of the year in Berlin with the city lit up by millions of lights and an overwhelming spirit of Christmas. We'll embrace the spirit by diving into the sea of lights flowing from Ku´damm street. Along the way we'll get to see the world renowned KaDeWe department store, with all of its Christmassy decorative wonders, and a winter wonderland set up around the memorial church. And of course, no Christmas tale would be complete without a story or two. So join Martin as he sips a mulled wine and unwraps Germany's Christmas traditions and customs.
Arja has worked for over 13 years as a full time tour guide in Berlin and all around Europe. She is a studied historian and passionate about all the big and small stories surrounding this beautiful city she calls home. Born and raised in Northwestern Germany she came to Berlin after finishing university in Hamburg with a Masters degree in history and American literature and having travelled the world for 4 years. With her family roots in the city she always felt drawn to the multitude of layers of life you can find in Berlin starting with her own family story. Telling stories is what she loves and meeting people from all over the world is the next best thing to travelling the world herself.

Get ready for something special. We're travelling to Berlin with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you'll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and amazing guide.
The tour will last about 30 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Berlin. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!
While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.
We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to book and join, but you have the option to tip the guide during the tour.
Leaving a tip will help support the guides and allow us to offer tours in more places around the world. If you aren't able to leave a tip, then it would be great if you can share the tour with friends and family to spread the word.
Reserve your spot by selecting a time to book. Once done, you’ll be able to see your reservations on your Trips page and we’ll send you an email confirmation with a link to join the tour.

Unfortunately her connection was extremely poor every other minute it froze after 10 minutes I disconnected. A half hour after on Google I had book club absolutely no problem. It was her connection that was poor. Sorry I know not her fault.

Dear Camille,
Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry for the technical difficulties you experienced while viewing our Berlin tour with Arja. We seemed to have had a glitch on our system which has caused the issue unfortunately so this had nothing to do with Arja's connection. We have been investigating to solve the problem and we hope we'll see you again soon :) Merry Christmas!
