This was a private gallery tour of a kind we'd never have the chance to do in real life! As such, it won't appeal to everyone, because it's an indoor event, not a sightseeing tour, so strictly for art-lovers only. That said, if that is what you're into, it's a rare treat, particularly in times when visiting a gallery or museum in person has been forbidden to some of us for many months. If I have one small criticism, it's that I felt the thematic choice of exhibits to focus on was a little bit arbitrary, and sometimes even confusing. I expected the emphasis to be on Raphael. So the bust of the (to me) unknown Marianna Florenzi from a completely different era was a bit of a distraction. I did come away slightly unclear which works were originals by Raphael, which were copies, and which were originals from the same school, but not by Raphael himself. This was only a small thing, though, and did not detract from enjoyment overall. I'm not enough of a connoisseur to be able to tell whether I'm looking at an original or a very well-executed copy.

A brilliant tour. Anne Claire had great knowledge of the museum and art works and lead a fascinating tour through the museum showing us some real gems before finishing up on the balcony overlooking the town of Perugia. A real treat!

Anne Claire brings knowledge and the ability to share it to her tours. It was a privileged to have her guide us round the Raphaël exhibition at palazzo Baldeschi.  She even managed to show the detail on the ceilings and paintings with the limited equipment used in Virtual Trips.  It was kind of the director to open for us. He also allowed Anne Claire access to the balcony so we could take photos of the street outside the gallery. I hope she continues with these virtual tours after lockdown.

Really interesting and informative tour - was great to see inside a museum again.  Certainly knows her stuff!  Have only been on Virtual Trips tours for a couple of weeks now and really have enjoyed every tour that I've subscribed to.

You know you have found a great tour guide when you realise you want to visit somewhere that you had never even heard of before!  Anne Claire brought Raphaele to life and her knowledge of art history was impressive.

The title of this tour appealed to me. It was certainly justified. Alone in a museum, Anne took us round each of the small rooms, discussing the different aspects of the pictures and why they were painted as they were. Sadly, many of these were copies, but this did not matter as Anne gave us such a detailed analysis. Thank you.
