About the tour

In 2018, Nikolskaya Street has become a worldwide famous “FIFA street of lights” and World Cup epicenter for jubilant fans. We invite you to walk through one of the oldest quarters of Moscow, the Kitay Gorod neighborhood strolling the ancient Nikolskaya Street. Today, this main street of the capital is full of life. It is the cultural center of the city. You will see the infamous KGB building originally built for the insurance company Rossiya which became better known for housing the headquarters of the KGB. On this tour, we will also explore the hidden courtyards and monasteries contrasting with the hustle & bustle street, discover the the first Printing House and the cultural heritage of the Russian capital and get all tips & tricks on bar hopping in Moscow from our local guide. Our tour starts on Red Square and ends at Lubyanka Square near KGB Building.

Meet your local guide

Anna is incredibly passionate about her job as a Moscow guide: every time she sees her guests catching their breath in a beautiful cathedral or smiling with a joy in the Red Square, she feels she's doing something right! As a true local, she knows that Moscow is an ever-changing metropolis and strives to communicate the diversity and contrasting characteristics of her native city - modern and ancient Moscow - at the same time. Anna loves showing Moscow from the perspective of a local - the striking and important history, beautiful architecture and modern lifestyle with hustle and bustle rhythm, authentic gastro-clusters and beautifully hidden lanes. We hope you can join Anna for an unforgettable tour of this wonderful city!

What to expect

Get ready for something special. We're travelling to Moscow with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you'll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing guide.

The tour will last about 30 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Moscow. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.

Why are they tip-supported?

We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to book and join, but you have the option to tip the guide during the tour.

Leaving a tip will help support the guides and allow us to offer tours in more places around the world. If you aren't able to leave a tip, then it would be great if you can share the tour with friends and family to spread the word.
