About the tour

Obidos Village is one of Igor's favorite locations in the west of Portugal, being lost in Obidos is being transported into time to the medieval period. Being considered one of the 7 Wonders of Portugal with narrow streets, old charming houses, and many monuments like the Church of Santa Maria de Obidos, the main door of the village with an amazing tile work from the XVII, the Castle, and a lot of breathtaking viewpoints that make this village a mandatory stop when you are in Portugal. Its village that comes from the Celtic people C. 308 a.C., was conquered by the Romans, and finally, Arabic people leaving until 1148 when this village was conquered by Christian troupes sent by our first king D. Afonso Henriques. It was part of the house of Queens until 1843 since King D.Dinis donated it as a wedding gift to Queen Saint Isabel as a sign of his love. It's a famous place nationally because of the medieval market once a year and the chocolate market that makes a chocolate lover be in haven. Don't think twice! join Igor!

So enjoyed Igor's tour. He went beyond the call of duty, clambering up slippery walkways in the pouring rain to give us the best views! Looking forward to seeing some of Lisbon with him.
