About the tour

On the first part of Persepolis tour, you discovered the history of Persian empire and how the city was built. We also took a look at delegations bearing gifts while taking steps to the grand palace for new year ceremony. On this second part , tour will continue through the palace and you will see and learn more about Persepolis. On this part, the residential part of the city will be covered. You will learn more about the end of the story: how the Persian empire was ended and why Persepolis got evacuated.


Meet your local guide

Farzaneh

With a B.A in English translation from university, Farzaneh trained and became a certified tour guide 18 years ago. Through this, she has traveled through most parts of Iran. She is particularly interested in history and archaeology, which she has also studied. She loves meeting new people and sharing the beauties of her country. She also enjoys having fun with photography.

Farzaneh has been guiding since Mar 2003


What to expect

Get ready for something special. We're travelling to Persepolis and Necropolis with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you'll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and amazing guide.

The tour will last about 60 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Persepolis and Necropolis. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.


Why are they tip-supported?

We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to book and join, but you have the option to tip the guide during the tour.

Pity we missed the beginning! We in Teheran for five years under the Shah until the revolution but never made it to Persepolis so it was very special to be given a tour of what we missed. It was amazing to feel I was back in Iran again quite nostalgic thank you For the experience and the knowledge it was all really interesting
