About the tour

We continue our walk along the Prague Royal Way. The tour starts under the Charles Bridge and we set out to discover the most magical part of old Prague. Almost too picturesque for it's own good, this cosy little district, which stretches between the river and the hill below Prague Castle, will take your breath away. Over 40 aristocratic palaces, countless old churches, winding streets and beautiful house signs give Malá Strana a very unique atmosphere. I'll show you the wall where lovers wrote messages to each other. We will travel 400 years back in time and you will get know what defenestration is and why there are 27 male heads (don't worry, in a super cool form!) in front of one of the palaces. Join me for a walk in the most romantic part of Prague and admire John Lennon wall, the church of St. Nicholas or the iconic Neruda alley and we'll finish with a way of this neighbourhood you'll never forget.

Meet your local guide

Nikola

Nikola is native Czech, tour guide for 15 years, a mom of very lively 8-year old twins & a foodie. She loves social media and photography, so you'll love the angles she'll show you on her virtual tours. Nikola has a degree in art history and a license both for Prague and the Jewish Quarter so her credentials are rock solid. Ask her if you need to find out where are the best views of the city, which restaurant to go and what to order there, or where to buy the most authentic local souvenirs. All her tours are really interactive, so by the end, her guests feel they were hanging out with a friend. She adores Prague - all the small alleys and lanes and above all she is fascinated by Prague's history and loves sharing stories from it with her clients - her job is her hobby, which is the best!

Nikola has been guiding since Dec 2020

What to expect

Get ready for something special. We're travelling to Prague with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you'll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing guide.

The tour will last about 45 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Prague. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.

Why are they tip-supported?

We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to book and join, but you have the option to tip the guide during the tour.

Leaving a tip will help support the guides and allow us to offer tours in more places around the world. If you aren't able to leave a tip, then it would be great if you can share the tour with friends and family to spread the word.

Nikola provided a lovely tour, full of detail and plenty of time for postcard pics. Her English is perfect and her knowledge matched her command of the English language. Thank you Nikola.

This was a wonderful tour with Nikola. She gave us so much information about this part of Prague. I am happy that I didn't have to take the steep walk up the hillside. It is always a pleasure to travel with Nicola.
