About the tour

With their fun, interactive and informative tour style, Micky and Adry will teach you how to make pasta from scratch and dress it with a homemade bolognese sauce! A typical Italian dish tutorial, seasoned with curious stories about Italy's cooking traditions and tricks only certified Italians can offer! Attention: some of the making phases of this tour will be shown prepared in advanced due to the resting time of the dough and the long cooking times of the sauce. For the process make sure to join the tour on time since each step will be explained live! And if you wish to cook live with us equip yourself with: INGREDIENTS (for 2 people) For the pasta dough: (consider about 20 minutes resting time for the dough) 200 gr. all-purpose flour 2 whole eggs Water A pinch of fine salt A drizzle of olive oil A rolling pin *Pasta Machine optional (Micky and Adry will teach you both techniques) For the Bolognese Sauce/Ragù: (consider at least 2 hours cooking time for the sauce) 250/300 gr. of mixed ground (pork and beef) 300 gr. (half bottle) of Tomato pouree 1 onion 1 carrot 1 stick of celery White wine (1 glass) Extra virgin olive oil Salt *1 bay leaf, 1 clove, basil and chilli to taste, rock salt optional

Micky and Adry

Adriano is an English and Spanish teacher and has Italian/Argentine heritage. He has been a TV host for a cooking show and he's an actor as well. Michela is a dancer/choreographer, singer and performer. She is also a craft projects ninja and she comes from a family of opera singers. Longstanding friends for 20 years now, the pair met at high school and have shared a love for languages and travel ever since! They are looking forward to welcoming you to Rome and showing you not only the sights but what it's like to be a local in this fabulous city!

What to expect

Get ready for something special. We're travelling to Rome with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you'll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and amazing guide.

The tour will last about 45 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Rome. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.

Why are they tip-supported?

We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to book and join, but you have the option to tip the guide during the tour.

Leaving a tip will help support the guides and allow us to offer tours in more places around the world. If you aren't able to leave a tip, then it would be great if you can share the tour with friends and family to spread the word.

I love the energy between these tour guides and the meal looked amazing! Can’t wait to try to make it. Only reason for a 4 instead of a 5 was the video was a bit pixelated/staticy but I know at times that is not controllable.
