About the tour

Have you always dreamed of visiting Vienna? Or have you been here before and fell so much in love with the city that you feel the strong desire to come back? On this walk Claudia will take you on a walk through her beloved hometown, which is without a doubt one of the most beautiful and fascinating cities in the world! No wonder that so many famous people decided to live in Vienna even though they were born elsewhere! Together we will stroll through the narrow streets and across the romantic squares of the old town, marvel at St. Stephen's Cathedral and the Imperial Palace, look longingly at the famous Demel pastry shop and the legendary coffee houses (where already Mozart, Johann Strauss , Sigmund Freud – and sometimes even emperor Franz Joseph -enjoyed coffee, Sachercake and apple strudel ) and finally wave to the white stallions of the Spanish Riding School in their stables. Vienna waits for you!

Meet your local guide

Claudia was born and raised in a city that is considered one of the most beautiful in the world. In Vienna you actually stumble upon a museum, palace, theatre or coffee house on almost every corner. Karl Kraus, a famous Austrian writer, once said:” The streets of Vienna are paved with culture, the streets of other cities with asphalt.” You can often see Claudia in these very streets of Vienna, mostly with guests from all over the world, showing them the most beautiful and interesting neighbourhoods of her hometown with knowledge, enthusiasm, esprit and- her cell phone ! Sometimes she wanders the streets alone to discover new things and prepare new exciting tours for her guests. She loves the idea of virtual guiding a lot, to connect with people from so many countries and she really enjoys sharing the stories and her love for her hometown with all virtual travellers who want to feel the real spirit of this magical city.

Claudia has been guiding since Mar 2007

What to expect

Get ready for something special. We're travelling to Vienna with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you'll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing guide.

The tour will last about 45 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Vienna. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.

Why are they tip-supported?

We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to book and join, but you have the option to tip the guide during the tour.

Leaving a tip will help support the guides and allow us to offer tours in more places around the world. If you aren't able to leave a tip, then it would be great if you can share the tour with friends and family to spread the word.

Loved your tour of Vienna the other day. Walking along the streets brought me back to wonderful memories of my short visit there years ago! The low rating is two reasons: 1) quick camera pans. The gimbles are sensitive. The camera takes a while to settle down and focus. A slower pan and holding the camera still is best for viewing your tour. 2) To be completely honest, I was really excited to learn more about the highlight of the Tour ~ St. Stephen's Cathedral. It was at the end of the tour and you spent maybe 5 minutes talking about what one can read on the internet. Sharing this with you because I feel you're sweet, kind and trying to working during the pandemic (I know! I haven't worked since March 2020!) I hope you'll succeed and look forward to seeing you on another tour ~ perhaps this one again! Take care and be safe, LsTravel Love

Very professional and at the same time personal guide! Manages the digital tours in a great way. One proposal for improvement is not to just answer questions that viewers send during the tours, but to also repeat the questions to all listeners before answering them since not everybody always has the comments live on the screen - they can be a bit annoying and disturb the nice view :))
