This virtual walk takes you along almost the entire section of the Pest bank of the river Danube which is listed by the UNESCO as World Cultural heritage. During this roughly 45 minutes long sightseeing tour Adam will introduce you to the different historical layers of Pest riverfront. From Roman times through WWII to Communism many different layers will be uncovered. The Danube promenade was the first pedestrian zone in Budapest, dotted with plenty of outdoor cafes designed to enjoy the beauties of Buda from across the river. As the Chain bridge will go under a multiple year long reconstruction, as long as it is possible, Adam will walk to the middle of the bridge to give you a feel of crossing the bridge. The tour will conclude on the bridge with a breathtaking view to the Buda Castle and to the House of Parliament building.
Adam finished his studies in April 2011, and has been working as a qualified guide ever since. If you are interested not just in the facts and figures but also the way locals live their life, Adam is your man! He was born and raised in Budapest and has been an eyewitness to a sleeping beauty's transformation to a multi-cultural metropolis. He can be your inside man to understand the Hungarians better, and to experience what life is like as a local.
Adam has been guiding since Apr 2011

The tour will last about 45 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Budapest. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!
While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.
We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to book and join, but you have the option to tip the guide during the tour.
Leaving a tip will help support the guides and allow us to offer tours in more places around the world. If you aren't able to leave a tip, then it would be great if you can share the tour with friends and family to spread the word.

Having been on four thoroughly engagning tours of Budapest with Adam, he has certainly set a high bar for any future virtual tours. He is knowledgeable, charming, and delightful. Every tour has been memorable. I'm now seriously considering a trip to Budapest and hope Adam will lead a tour in 3-D.

Having Hungarian ancestry and visited Hungary including Budapest ten years ago, I was looking forward to the walking tour of the riverbank including my favourite bridge. Adam's stories and histoical knowledge is fabulous, and I loved his mannerizims and humour while handling professionalizm at the same time. I will watch out for his tours in the future. Well done and köszönöm Ádám!

Adam is fab! He has a great sense of humour and his tours are always both fun and informative. He has a great eye for taking postcards which makes memories of his tours so special. This tour was particularly poignant as we visited the Chain Bridge for the last time before it is dismantled. Adam stopped speaking as we ended the tour by walking back across the bridge. He suggested that we could listen to the love song Budapest if we wanted to but I chose to just listen to the silence and the emotion overwhelmed me, as it did many others.
