About the tour

When the sun is bright and spring is slowly blooming in Seville, there's few places in the world your guide Nicolas would rather be than casually strolling down the Alameda de Hércules. This square was built in the 16th century, as one of Europe's first public gardens. The Alameda has been since a much loved space for leisure, entertainment and social life. Through the ups and downs of history, it has remained one of the beating hearts of Seville. Join him in this relaxed ramble around the coolest, chillest neighbourhood in Seville, for a slice of local life!

Meet your local guide

In Seville was he born, a pleasant city, Famous for oranges and women—he Who has not seen it will be much to pity, So says the proverb—and I quite agree Well pity no more, for Nicolas is here to show the wonders of Seville. Like Byron’s Don Juan, he was born and raised by the mighty Guadalquivir, under the shadow of the Giralda. A life-long lover of old books and obscure maps, he traveled the world from Lisbon to Philippines in his younger years, studying the history of the Spanish empire in the Pacific Ocean. He then came back home to sunny Seville and took up the ancient art of story-telling, entertaining travelers from all around the world with tales about poet-kings and honey thieves, orange trees and Manila shawls, lost libraries and wayward nuns. Join him as he guides you through the narrow streets of Seville’s Old Quarter and discover the light and music of this unforgettable city!

Hi. It was a great tour, Nicolas knows the history, described how he remembered the impact of Franco, views about that amazing scuplture and many other things which you would not pick up from the 'normal' tourist trip. Thank you.
