La République: Symbol of our democracy, the square with the statue, all the rollers guys, and the perfect example of Haussman in Paris. Canal’s banks: romantic and a bit creepy...2 worlds, the area is getting trendy but still located next to a poor part of Paris. Contrasts of the society! Hotel du Nord: famous movie spot
Patrick isn't one to shy away from travel and adventure. "I was lucky enough to travel the world with my job, discover different cultures, and meet incredible people!" he says, after having explored multiple cities across Europe and Asia. On his tours, you may catch more than a surprise or two about Paris. "In fact, it is an everyday experience. I'm a native Parisian, but every day, I continue to discover new things, new secrets about Paris. It's a never-ending story," he laughs. It was his love for Paris that led him to become a guide. "I'm a father and a teacher, and I realized that my passion was to share my knowledge, so I decided to be a guide about one of my passion: Paris!" Patrick chips in. "I enjoy sharing the love and passion I have for my own city, Paris. Its monuments, its history, its gastronomy, its culture, and all of its little secrets. I can't wait to share all of these with you!" "At the end of my tour I always give a virtual bise - two in fact being a good Parisian!" he laughs.

Get ready for something special. We're travelling to Paris with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you'll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing guide.
The tour will last about 30 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Paris. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!
While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.
We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to book and join, but you have the option to tip the guide during the tour.
Leaving a tip will help support the guides and allow us to offer tours in more places around the world. If you aren't able to leave a tip, then it would be great if you can share the tour with friends and family to spread the word.
Reserve your spot by selecting a time to book. Once done, you’ll be able to see your reservations on your Trips page and we’ll send you an email confirmation with a link to join the tour.

I love Patrick's tours normally and find them enjoyable and very informative. However, I felt this one could have been improved. I've lived in the Canal Saint Martin area for the last two years and I don't think much of the canal was really on the tour. There are lovely bridges further up, the Hopital St Louis with the adjoining Jardin Villemin park to name just a few other points of interest. La rue de la grange aux belles is a street just off the canal, round the corner from Hotel du Nord (that Patrick mentioned but didn't walk up to) that is a lovely little street with several independent cafe's, natural wine shop etc and on rue marie et lousie, a very well known and popular bakery called Sain. I think that many people watching the tour would have been interested in exploring the canal area in more depth especially as many of them i'm sure are hoping to visit Paris whenever it is possible! I'm aware there are of course time limitations but feel more could have been covered. Thanks for reading! Charlotte.
