Karnak is an amazing place. The art and hieroglyphs are stunning and Saffy seemed to know almost everything about the intricate details. A well planned tour with a friendly guide.

An interesting tour around the vast temples of Karnak. We visited in April 2001 & everything still looks beautifully preserved. It was good to be reminded of the history & learn new facts from Saffy. Sadly my brain didn’t keep up with all the names of the Gods & dates! We managed to take some good pictures as he allowed time to focus on different areas. Many thanks.

So interesting! It would be great if you could find some pictures imagining what these temples looked like when they were new! I'd also like to see a short list of the dynasties just before and after it's construction, to get a sense of the times...

Another wonderful and fascinating tour with Saffy.  He really brought the temple at Karnak to life with tales of what happened there in ancient times, lots of information about the people of the time and their spirituality.  Absolutely stunning and sacred place the atmosphere of which was enthusiastically  conveyed by Saffy, taking us close up to the hieroglyphs, statues, hyperstiles, obelisks, inner temples and cartouches to explain what they meant and their history in detail as well as making it clear what each part of the site was used for.  I really felt I was there and was awed by this glimpse into the deep significance and meaning behind Ancient Egyptian theology. Thank you Saffy

What an incredible tour! Saffy is such a wonderful storyteller and has a wealth of knowledge. This temple is absolutely amazing.

As always, Saffy does an amazing job on his tours. He brings Ancient Egypt alive with his knowledge and stories. I have never had an urge to go to Egypt, but then I took one of Saffy's tours. Afterwards I immediate bought three travel books on Egypt, and have decided to make it one of my first trips after Covid. I look forward to more tours with Safe.

Ten stars for Saffy.  I've been on so many tours and pretty much each one has been fantastic.  This was more than fantastic.  Saffy delivers a mine full of information in soothing tones while he appears to be floating on air round the ruins of the Karnak Temple, gently moving the camera around and setting up fabulous postcard opportunities.  Saffy imparted so much interesting information about Ancient Egypt and translated bits of hieroglyphics.  The temple itself was so beautiful and you could feel the atmosphere as you walked amongst the towering pillars.

Saffy really brings the past to life for me. He is so knowledgeable and explains everything so clearly. I am really enjoying his tours

Saffy's knowledge and enthusiasm are undoubted, but the reason this wasn't a five for me was because it felt so rushed. The temple complex is almost unimaginably vast - I had no idea! Saffy explained that you could spend three days here. So I appreciate the challenge of trying to select which highlights you are going to include in just a 45 minute trip, and trying to frame a coherent narrative around them. An extra 15 minutes probably wouldn't have made much difference if you really need three days. Nevertheless, I think the tour should have been scheduled for at least an hour. And perhaps a series of visits could be planned, each focusing on just one specific thing? The magnitude of the subject is impossible to take in in just 45 minutes, no matter how skilled the guide. I'd happily have listened for 45 minutes JUST on the subject of hieroglyphics, or JUST what we know about how it was built, or just key aspects of the religion etc. I think I would have preferred to understand a small thing thoroughly than a massive thing hardly at all, if that makes sense. Of course I can go away and Google, and see where that takes me, but please consider narrowing the focus to something that can realistically be covered in an hour, and offering several tours on different topics, if necessary.

One of the most outstanding trips I've done.  Saffy is a wonderful guide, giving us plenty of information without overload and knowing how to frame a sight to enable us to take a great postcard.  I spent half this tour with my jaw dropping at the fabulous temple  site.  Thank you so much Saffy!

An excellent tour visiting such an historic temple.  It was stunning, beautiful, fascinating and so much more.  Saffy is very knowledgeable, full of interesting history facts about the columns and the kings and queens.  It ensured plenty of time to take photographs, and be prepared, you will be taking alot as every turn of the camera was a feast for the eyes.

some of us are visual learners and enjoy capturing photos while touring - helps the information 'stick'.  saffy is very knowledgeable and i enjoyed his commentary.  however, the visual was very choppy and way too fast.  other guides i've been with pause and even count 1,2,3,4,5 to give those of us who wish to take pictures a chance to do so.   so please slow the camera down, don't go in circles, and pause whenever there's a good photo op!  sometimes the streaming/taking a postcard takes a few seconds to finish.  thank you

Really enjoyed our first trip back to Luxor having lived there over a decade ago.  Saffy was very knowledgeable and responded to questions as they came through the chat making a great interactive experience. It’s wonderful to visit ‘live’ when you can’t be there for real. We are looking forward to more trips to Luxor virtually and our 9 yr old son really enjoyed watching as with. Dad who has a degree in Egyptology it was good for him to see  all the sights his Dad has been telling him about. Thanks Saffy, keep up the good work!
